Pairing Up

goo morning all how long would you leave them paired up for if the hen dsnt lay the rest are sitting on eggs but one hen still hasnt layed the pair dnt seem interested in each other an i have a spare hen at the moment im just wondering if it woul be ok to pair the cock to the spare hen or leave the pair as they are an wait for hen to lay they been paired up for over 10 days but they just dnt seem into each other like the others.

I'd leave them together for another few days and hopefully she'll lay eggs by then. If not I'd use the spare hen to pair to the cock if you are really interested in breeding Ybs from him.

take the hen away for a day then put her back in chris if there not glad to see each other split them up most of my hens take 14 to 16 days to lay some guys have birds that lay in 7 not mine they are all different but theres time yet for her to lay some pairs just dont hit it off or they have there eye on another partner and take much more time to accept each other and will only pair in there own time atb with them

Which pair is it Chris? I would take the cock away, that way if the hen laid at least she would do do in her bowl and you could just stick the cock back. But having said that Walter has a lot more experience than me.
