Pension Forecast

My husband and I requested a pension forecast from the DWP

 

It took 9 days for hubbies and 12 days for mine

 

They're both wrong

 

They've got my hubby as having 30 years contributions - so I thought maybe under the old rules, you only needed 30 years - so they're picking the best ones

Then mine came - I've got 41 years contributions according to them - and I know that's wrong! (it is about 35/36 cos I paid reduced rate for 5 years)

So hubby should have 44 years - they've mislaid a few somewhere along the line

 

Anybody else had a forecast? And more to the point how accurate was it?

 

We're both due to retire in 2021 unless they move the goal posts yet again

Last forecast was a while ago. I was thinking about asking for another one since we don't have too long to wait now.

I had a forecast sent to me just before Christmas last year - it took three weeks. They had me down for 42 qualifying years; which was incorrect (I have 44 years). They estimated a pension of £140.55 per week yet as from April 2016 everyone with 35 qualifying years or more will receive £155.65 weekly!(so they say!). Will be requesting another forecast on my 61st birthday - 1st May 2016. Not much faith in the first forecast so we'll see how they go with the second!
