Kyleakin Lofts Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 17 members sent 120 pigeons to the final Old Bird race from Thurso. The pigeons are being conveyed by the NRCC.2 Carrick members sent 19 pigeons.7 Cumnock members sent 39 pigeons.4 Mauchline members sent 15 pigeons.4 Valley members sent 48 pigeons.Best of luck to all that sent.
Kyleakin Lofts Posted July 17, 2015 Author Report Posted July 17, 2015 all the best Andy did you send I did Rab.I had earmarked 5 for the race, but one hen returned hawked from the Arbroath prep race, a second hen laid Wednesday and my third hen is too close to laying to send. In a way mis-management, but as you are aware with my set-up, any management is difficult. The two cocks have been sent, both feeding big YB's with one hen imminent to lay, thus unable to send her and the others hen not far away from laying either. We might be lucky for a Saturday race, but it is more looking like a Sunday liberation early doors.
Kyleakin Lofts Posted July 18, 2015 Author Report Posted July 18, 2015 Thurso pigeons held-over. Seems I may have been correct with the date.

Aye Walter.Who would be a controller? Apparently the wind was too strong, so they held over. The East coast was clear and looked to be ok, but the wind was their concern. I don't know what it was like up there, but it seemed ok here, but they have to make their judgement.NRCC held because of the rain in Scotland.
