I have 8 pair in an 8x6 section, plenty of room for the birds

I'd say 8-10 pair, put on a 5'x5' aviary and half that many again.

i have 12 pair of stock birds in my 10 by 6 stock loft but also have an aviery on it which as tony says makes a big difference also my nest boxes are the large widowhood type giving the birds plenty room in there own box to tread in piece

avaiery is a must in a stock loft as the lads says i had a pair build there nest one time in the avaiery i put in a little shelf and a bowl for them the young ones were perfect
