johno Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 have been made aware that somehow or other former shu president has mysteriously been manipulated into a position as a life long councillor. no one knows who rubber stamped this. not the members. not the delegates. also the secretary, a paid servant of the membership, has been phoning hand, picked delegates to encourage them to attend sundays meeting. this has been done at the members expense. this has not been approved in any way by the members or the council. the reason for the first mysteriuos appointment is to allow the person to attend the delegates meeting on sunday to speak on behalf of the current president. no doubt he will then attempt to vote. after the current presidents manipulating a situation to allow him to be a delegate this situation once again stinks. how can we continue to stand back and allow this to happen.
Williedoo Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 I agrea, I would never attend anything to do with the SHU,my experiences suggest that things are cut and dry before you go.
Guest Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 As Moderator: This remains an allegation until facts are disclosed. Any SHU delegate has a right of reply to it,

ALL TRUE BECAUSE THE SAID SECRETARY KNOWS THAT IF THERE ARE CHANGES IN THE SHU PRESIDENCY SHE MIGHT NOT BE IN THE CUSHY POSITION SHE IS IN JUST NOW , SHE IS AFTER ALL ONLY MEANT TO BE A SECRETARY AND NOTHING ELSE, AND WE ALL KNOW THE MAN ELECTED AS A LIFELONG COUNCILLOR AND WE DO KNOW WHO RUBBERSTAMPED HIM TO THIS POSITION, AND IF YOU DONT ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU TO TAKE AN EDUCATED GUESS
THE FIFER Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 have been made aware that somehow or other former shu president has mysteriously been manipulated into a position as a life long councillor. no one knows who rubber stamped this. not the members. not the delegates. also the secretary, a paid servant of the membership, has been phoning hand, picked delegates to encourage them to attend sundays meeting. this has been done at the members expense. this has not been approved in any way by the members or the council. the reason for the first mysteriuos appointment is to allow the person to attend the delegates meeting on sunday to speak on behalf of the current president. no doubt he will then attempt to vote. after the current presidents manipulating a situation to allow him to be a delegate this situation once again stinks. how can we continue to stand back and allow this to happen. ALL SHU DELEGATES ARE ELECTED BY THEIR FED MEMBERS and should be mandated as to what is wanted at shu council meetings, if they are not then thats the fault of the members, so can't possibly see how anyone can be elected as a lifelong councilor, and i sugest johno that u have a talk with ur shu delegates and get what u think is wrong sorted, thats the ones u should be getting at not on the forum, we cant do anything but ur delegates can, they are the members messangers yes the delegates and its u and ur members that put them there. simple as that.
THE FIFER Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 i see as far as the ets is concerned with rules in the shu they are that bad the RPRA are considering getting help from the shu as they are experienced in this matter, so cant be that bad.
johno Posted March 2, 2007 Author Report Posted March 2, 2007 have had contact with delegates. story is as suggested. in the event that the allegations as they have been referred to are true. whod did this. what procedure was followed. why are there very few delegates or members aware of what is going on. why are no delegates in the know responding and blowing these so called allwgations out of the water.

ME2 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 have had contact with delegates. story is as suggested. in the event that the allegations as they have been referred to are true. whod did this. what procedure was followed. why are there very few delegates or members aware of what is going on. why are no delegates in the know responding and blowing these so called allwgations out of the water. of course it is true, you do not have to be einstein to work out what is going on here, and the usual proceedure was followed, if you are a chum you get voted in, and this was meant to be kept as quiet as possible so that the delegates that vote with the old pals act of nineteen canteen will turn up and keep the same parasites in power, and it was good to see this thread posted as it will let folk see what secret dealings are going on, sunday is a real chance to get the shu back under members control and get it out the mess it is now sinking farther and farther into and hopefully the delegates with any sense can see this and vote for the changes that are drastically needed or scottish racing will be in such a mess in the next few years that it will probably have more divisions than scottish football has with a few clubs or feds in each division, time for delegates to stand up and be counted as individuals representing their respective feds and not be sheep following the leader
ALF Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 I WAS TALKING TO 1 OF THE COUNCIL DELEGATES TODAY AND HE SAID HE THINKS THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT MEETING WITHIN THE SHU FOR 50 YEARS!!! LET'S JUST HOPE THAT THE SHU GETS SOME DIGNITY BACK AND WE ARE NOT THE LAUGHING STOCK THAT WE HAVE BEEN LATELY!!!
frank-123 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 alf i think it is a chance for all the ex members to come back into the shu as long as the dinosaurs are gone and some new blood is brought in to run the show so that's why Scott Gibson is our only chance to get some people round the table so we can be one organisation again
Guest Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 here here bart well said lets hope it materialises

Guest Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Not just the top that needs changing. I hope that all the people who never went to meetings in the past (me included), and were content to opt out and let others run the show, take more responsibility for SHU affairs by attending meetings and voting just to make sure that it is the members running the show.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 My good friend Alf is picking me up and we are going to the meeting to see what transpires at it, because I believe there will be some fireworks at it

Actually in reality all the trouble was caused by TOO MANY MEMBERS turning up for meetings!! Some of us did turn up and were denied a vote on a legitimate proposal properly laid before the AGM.
ALF Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 My good friend Alf is picking me up and we are going to the meeting to see what transpires at it, because I believe there will be some fireworks at it GOOD FRIEND???? SINCE WHEN??? :P :P ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Guest Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 oh! johno i was at the meeting when they allowed the out going president to stay as i quote advisor to new pres. now there is nothing wrong with an out going pres helping the new one but i would think that any one who takes the pres. of any union should have been in council for at least 3 years so he should know how to deal with things so no need for the outgoing pres at meetings (just another scam )and the new pres. still has his vice pres. to help i take it we are talking about the we man here he will have to be removed by the british army i think he will never walk like any decent person would I WONDER WHY!!!!!

DONT KNOW SCOTT GIBSON AT ALL BUT A CHANGE OF LEADERSHIP IS DEFINETLY NEEDED IN THE SHU AT THE PRESENT MOMENT IN TIME!!!!
t3doo Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 As Moderator: This remains an allegation until facts are disclosed. Any SHU delegate has a right of reply to it, i dont think it would be appropriate for shu delegates to respond to all the allegations made on this forum especially when most of the people on here making the allegations are not even shu members. eg. frankdooman, johno(tenyears) etc. etc. cheers bruno.
