Kyleakin Lofts Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Watch this They must be vaccinated against Paramixovirus (PMV). You can buy your vaccine via ebay. Get someone from your club to show you.

When you get yourself organised with a club you can then seek advice from other club members as regards to future vaccination and may find that they will help out with treating your birds when required.

paddymac Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Ok gotcha thanks, and is it just this pmv nothing else that needs vaccinating against ?Yes Paramyxo is the only vaccination that is compulsary by the RPRA, although other fanciers also vaccinate their birds against paratyphoid at the beginning of the season also.
Yellowman Posted October 16, 2014 Author Report Posted October 16, 2014 Excellent, much obliged to you chief
PIGEON_MAN Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 As you only have a few birds I would suggest you try and find out if there are other fanciers in your area as they may be able to share their vaccine with you and save you some money.A vet would certainly not be cheap and you may have to pay him for a full bottle of vaccine just for your few birds, where abouts do you live I,m sure we will be able to fix you up with a club nearby.
