Walter swanston Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 I was quoted £333 today to insure my Saab, made a phone call to my insurers and told them I had a better offer which was true. They immediately offered the same insurance for £254 obviously a saving of £80 just shows what a racket the insurance business is.So there you are gents do not accept the first offer, make call
Blue Chequer Pied Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Totally agree Walter. My son passed his driving test today, first time as a 17 year old. We phoned to get quotes for insuring him for my wife's 14 plate Fiat 500 and the quotes ranged from £3000 to £600..... guess which one we went for!

greenlands Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 It's a big con from start to finish Walter,I never accept the quote and have never failed to get a reasonable amount of money knocked off.
hawked again Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Certificates have also changed in the last couple of years if you bother to read them. It used to be that you were insured to drive any car if you had fully comp. Not any more. If I were you I would read to check, better than getting caught out.
