Dalesman
I have a 12x6 loft being delivered at the weekend. Do I need a base putting down or can the shed stand on breeze blocks ? What height should it be raised from ground level?
andy Burgess
would be ok on "breeze blocks" as long as its stable. would reccomend at least a 12" space to allow air-flow. would also say a membrane so you dont get weeds coming through beneath the loft . showman
For a 12x6 loft I would have 15 block pillars and possibly 5 or 6 heavy rafters laid before I lay the floor down. Plenty of support to take any 'bounce' out of the floor, and not allow it to 'bow'. Floor needs to be good and solid. OMO.
