Guest IB Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Published in the letter's page of this week's BHW: Sir, It was with great regret that the Committee and members of the North-West Federation in Scotland learnt of our President, Scott Gibson's, decision to give up the sport. We wish to thank and pay tribute to Scott for all the hard work, enthusiasm, success and highest standards of leadership he brought to the Federation as our President. His work rate and efforts on behalf of our members will be seriously missed and hard to replace. We wish him every goodwill, good health and happiness for the future. Yours Brian Stewart, Vice-President Norman Marsden, Junior Vice-President

Ian Are you condonning this mans actions??????? if so you can be held in the same breath as him. Gareth, I don't condone any wrong doing by anybody. Had even half the negative things written on this forum about this man been true, I think that the people in my Fed who drafted that letter - with whom he worked closest (and therefore probably knew him better than most) - would not have been saying that he set the highest standards of leadership. They would simply have a done a 'Dear John' job on him. Their tribute corresponds very closely with what I said in the locked thread 'PRO' earlier this week that when he was around everything had to be done by the book, and everything seen to be open and above board. And I would also say that my stand has caused me some repercussions with hearsay folk leaping out of the undergrowth, telling me I've posted things that I had not. And today I had a chap at my door with the 'evidence'. With your background Gareth, you will know that it is not admissable: the method of collection is in itself illegal, and an alleged assault was committed in its gathering. And that's just from a layperson, I'm sure you can add more, much more about safe custody of evidence, verification of data, identification of birds etc.
shotgun tim Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 i heard he had help with his cheating(2 or 3 helpers!!!!!!!!!!!)
red chqr Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Following your comments regarding the alleged assault, how can you be certain that had to do with the gathering of this evidence, unless you know a little more than you are letting on.

oscar_ Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 ib hope u aint having a pop at me with hearsay ,i just voiced my opinion .
andy Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 cheat cheat &cheat. Anyone that knows anything about pigeons, knows that PIGEONS are not capable of doing what this man did.. And he knows it tooooooooo!!!!!!!!
Whats it called Cumbernauld Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Opinions oscar, fuel even more hearsay. Comments on i heard this, or i heard that, will go a long way to make this even more complicated. We would all do well to remember, this is liable to be in a court of law near you soon, for one reason or another. Trueth and hearsay do not go hand in hand. Send reinforcments A company going to advance Or Send 3/6 pence A company is going to a dance
Delboy Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 The tribute to this man in the BHW is for one reason, and one reason only. Its propaganda by the North West officials and everyone knows that.Be men and deal with the issues in hand.Inevitably, the S.H.U will be asked to deal with it if the N.W dont take action and how stupid will they look then
