Roland Posted November 1, 2008 Author Report Posted November 1, 2008 Why post the Karen topic on here. This was set purposely to get awaay from that aspect, and also not to interfere and distract from that topic. Must be nievity and Ego clapping. Makes one once for feel there just isn't any hope for the sport with such.... Struth, was a time when Eye Sign blasted and took over every topic... gordon bennet give this sport strength.
roy rogers Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 I'LL BE DOOMED! one of the little blighters has escaped, sound the alarm............ If you were the personality involved I am sure you would have a change of opinion and be overwelmed by the support from the real fanciers throughout the length, breadth of the country, this is BIGGER than anything that historically has ever challenged the powers that be, and in my opinion ( which I am entitled to express) the rpra has took to much constructive critism of its own mishandling, I cannot see a way for it to continue as an organisation of honour and repute. The only way forwards I can see is OUT with the OLD and IN with the NEW, and that means everyone's out.
Roland Posted November 1, 2008 Author Report Posted November 1, 2008 So put it on the appropiate topic. Ever thought - once again - that THAT IS why ythe other topic headings are formed... As for .... Quote 'this is BIGGER than anything that historically has ever challenged the powers that be, ' you must have buried your head tsomewhere where the sun never see ... even very recently. Ever heard of the Avian Flu for starters!!! Sorry that is nothing... gosh! Most of the above post is what this topic is about.... As for Karen, she's a big girl now, knows a lot more about the situation than any one else... If she is as clever and as knowledgeable as one's keep spout, rest assured that she will fare out as she plans. Wouldn't say intended personally as that lends to the arguement that she has engineered these events solely to benefit her self.
Roland Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 Well I see this topic died a naturual lamented death eh! No one suggest, a plan, not one hand ups, even a serious proposal of how and when, let alone why 'Change'. Just where are all these would be 'Go getters' the Hooray hollar boys that want Change etc! Tell you what it is a blumming good job Karen doesn't have to rely on these great supporters for her Job or livelyhood. Yes I believe, trust me, that arm chair voting will be the norm and as far as that will go. I'd wager further that Karen, knows that. No wonder she is tight lipped at the moment and certainly isn't going to relate to members in regards of their help. Would You! No she's not daft as you all rightly say.
superstar Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Well I propose any future General Manager should come from within the hobby/sport.
superstar Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Another one would be to delete any rule and insert new rules that any Union member so long as within any said clubs radius can pay their fee and send birds with them and will be eligable to win any prizes on offer. Will sotp all the hiding away in little back street clubs and good fliers cant be penalised for being just that
Guest asha Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Get real, stop buying The British Homing World,Stop buyingGB rings, and refuse to pay to register nehu or whatever rings at the reddings,do that, and you have cut them off at the knees, money =power,RPRA are bullies, they love to crush the weak ,but when faced with real power, like when Loiuse Maserella, took them on,they crawled away into the gutter.
Roland Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 Louis was, like Mr Allen, wealthy. And we will still need a ship to float, and steer on A course. Any course is surely better that 1000's either running around like headless chickens in the wilderness, whilst 1000's more just pack up. But Asha you of course have the remedy for this I take it, as otherwise you would have posted! Which are?

Your quick to rib others so whats your idea's on improvement?
Chairman Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Well, well there still has not been any news regards the "I'll be doomed meeting" held on friday, maybe they could'nt agree to find a nominee or could it be they voted unanimously for the classic "Ostrich Syndrome" nothing has happened boys if we pretend that it's not happened it will go away and everything will be okay, nobody will notice. I think they'll find it will not and as usual we will all have to wait for the new GM to roll up his sleeves and try to clear the dirty washing he's been left, now that roadrunner has cleared his desk and sped off into the darkness showing off his new car, that we paid for out of all the petty cash we keep being told that we have invested for OUR future. Roland is absolutely right, no use whinging on here lets all get to the meetings, propose the lot of them out and lets have a new clean start with the candidates we choose to run OUR organisation, I have no problem with that at all.
Roland Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 Thanks Chairman. as for More waffle. WHERE'S YOUR CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS TO IMPROVE THINGS ROLAND?????? Your quick to rib others so whats your idea's on improvement? Just where have you been to ask such a stupid question. Are you too busy to read and not understan, or just wanting to slide over and pick up on a little tittle atatle piece to try and make a point!!! :B :B :-/ :-/ All fit eh! Must be over a dozen pointers and what I'd like to see, not just wth the RPRA or any other governing concern elected, but how it should also be incorporate d with Nationals etc. etc. No not to run them, but to work in conjunction with them and ALL seperately. This not only augers for better and more informed racing, but merits and above all less costs etc. Further to obtain cheaper and ontrolled Feed Prices. They have the Cartel, written or otherwise, like the Gas Electric boards etc. etc. But as a BIG concern with many member the clout has to be with the buyer... I.e. members. I could list stacks, most would be repeating, and therefore obviously would go straight by you again I guess :-/ :B
Roland Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 Well I propose any future General Manager should come from within the hobby/sport. Why? Doesn't that mean even more slanted and more selfish motives for the 'Click / ole boys brigade'? Isn't jus the fact that most sucessful managers etc. usually are not from the sport, and very seldom ones that excelled from they past time / hobby sport etc. Yes exceptions to the rules sometimes...

Are you too busy to read and not understan, or just wanting to slide over and pick up on a little tittle atatle piece to try and make a point!!! Try to be little all you like I will always be bigger than that sorry. All fit eh! Yes like a size 9 sausage in a size 8 skin. I could list stacks, most would be repeating, and therefore obviously would go straight by you again I guess. What are you trying to say there roland? Are you trying to make out you and your ideas are of a superior nature to anything I have to say? Why? Doesn't that mean even more slanted and more selfish motives for the 'Click / ole boys brigade'? No I dont think it does, as comming from within you would already know what this game is about and not brought in and fed a line so to speak. How can an outsider possibly know what things need to be addressed, christ left to you there would be NO ETS remember. When I say promoted from within I dont mean by the select comitee I mean names put forward on a regular bassis say anually, bi-anually whatever and voted on by us members. Not hard to do, a simple voting slip in the homing world or down loadable from the R.P.R.A website would give everyone the chance to put the right person in the hot seat. If the Man in charge wasn't up to the job in the members eyes then they would not be re elected and replaced by our choice not the chosen "band of brothers". There you go roland suck on that for a bit, its not as daft as you like to make out
Roland Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 That is exactly what is done now, and has been done for yonks.... where you been? And keeping slating on about the ET'S like I tried, and tried, yes even put in words that a 5 year old upwards could understand... but like I stated then, YOU never got it! Still can't understand, and further still you don't know the gist, or where I stood on ET'S. Never once have I said I was against them etc. etc. But then some falls on stony ground. Mind I'm glad there are some like you that have this thing about me. Just shows that though you don't particularly like me - from you posts at any rate - you certainly sit up and listen when I speak ... shame you can't understand the simple basics I spell out though.
Roland Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 What are you trying to say there roland? No most definately not... and please have respect and learn that Names have a capital letter to start them with... too long to go into that but Roland is not roland...

When did we the members get to vote on the general manager then? If that was the case then I'm quite sure the majority would have the right man in the job, a fancier for the fancier by now. As for ETS you just didnt like the idea of change from where I was sat, maybe you felt you would get left behind by modern technology who knows but its here and good job too! As for liking or disliking you that I cant answer as never met up. You post things on here the same as everyone else and they are open to comment on a public forum which is what I have done. You seem to have the atitude that your superior to a lot of others and your word is God, well buddy not in my house it aint or in most others I doubt so dont flatter yourself. if the F1 Grand prix or even stars on sunday was on now I wouldn't give your writings a first thought let alone a second and hope that clarifies that for you. If you think I cant understand what your trying to say then try to improve your English as quite often there are letters missed off words and even words missing altogether. Adios
Roland Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 SuperStar, where did I ever do the things You imply?!!! Never but yet you harp on... But that be as it may, just answer me this. You are all for getting rid of this committee etc. One reason being that they don't take notices of us, and do just as they will, willy - nilly. Yet it is fine for them to go against the majority as you state Knowing that it would get through via a vote of the members, that most were against it, and applaud them for doing it via the back door in a very underhanded way, if not illegal and on a trumped up no existence rule. Seems to me that you like most, want the cake and eat it. Sure it is great when they behave with atrocity if it suits you. Never mind the twaddle about moving with the times, or for the betterment of the sport etc. It was a dirty move, yet that's ok eh!

Never mind the twaddle about moving with the times, or for the betterment of the sport etc. It was a dirty move, yet that's ok eh! Personally I dont think it was a dirty trick, seems to be one of the best advances this game has had in years. My club was the first in our Fed to be kitted out with it, off the top of my head think 10 of the 15 members went with it from the night of the demo and had a good deal for the club with the rest soon following suit. Last one will have it this year, not because they couldn't win as some did against ETS but because they can see what a great tool it is. Seems my club might have been at the cutting edge so to speak but once others saw how good it was they are all following suit after their out cry lol. Now one thing I will grant you is that its expensive, not just to get the clock but on going expense of chip rings. If you can afford a big team of youngsters though you should be able to afford the rings to go on them, if like me you can only afford to run a select team then it should still be within budget and worth it too I think! On the training aspect of things dont you agree it levels the playing field of a single person who has to take his/her birds training and doesnt have anyone to tell them which are their first or most consistent homers? Granted they will soon know the bad ones as they will be back after them or not at all but takes away the advantage of the fancier with a race partner or one with a pigeon orientated partner logging down the information for them which has to be a good thing sporting wise? If you think about it there are many other advantages and lets face it, its there for everyone to have not just a select few. Now that would be wrong! Enough of ETS anyway, its the future and its here!
Roland Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 True, and I've never been against ET's. But does just go to show how folks view things. If against their' views, sack the lot, comittee are fossiles etc., and all moans and whinges take place. But do exactly the same, which they like, then Dam everyone else, great committee, should have done it a long time ago etc. Which brings me back to my first big harp. Doesn't matter is we keep this lot or not, if we select and vote in a completely different lot, or even form a new body that takes over the riens from the RPRA, all will be fruitle, and quickly the same till members get of their arses and moan, whinge at meetings, then vote at every level!
superstar Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Another one would be to delete any rule and insert new rules that any Union member so long as within any said clubs radius can pay their fee and send birds with them and will be eligable to win any prizes on offer. Will stop all the hiding away in little back street clubs and good fliers cant be penalised for being just that! What is your view on the above then roland? Have you ever been on the recieving end of being "too good a flyer" with other members forming a new club or the like just to get rid of you? Plenty have and it needs stopping! Agreed?
Roland Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 Well I believe that the above has good merits, no two ways about that. Only floar as I see is when Joe 'Stirrer' wants to join and spreaad the crapo! But the lesser of two evils surely must be the better, ANYONE within the radious can join. Cheaper costs etc. etc. and every club nigh needs all the help and members they can get. The beauty is, that NO club can refuse to send any RPRA registered bird to any race, be it to race or as a Trainer. Now that would, and does get up ther noses when they won't have you in the club. Yes they have to set and do the clocks for you too.
