Guest Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 I would think that a new club getting into L/F would just be glad of the big competion
frank-123 Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Has the fed not turned to semi National, rather than purely fed.??????????????????????????????/ no i think they are using common sense to go with the snfc it costs the fed to much to go alone
HOMER49 Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 The club is known as Clarkston& District and is based in Airdrie , North Lanarkshire, we have 13 members and we like to think we are a welcoming, progressive club that are looking forward to competing in the Lanarkshire federation of racing pigeon clubs for season 2009 Hi Welcome to the best Federation in the UK If you or any your club mates would like to come to YOUR presentation on 27th Feb in Carrigans of Hamilton give Ian Henderson a ring 01698 375389 tickets £12 Cheers Homer 49
chrissyboy Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Thank you, Mr Henderson gave us the information at the last delegate meeting.
Guest Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 no i think they are using common sense to go with the snfc it costs the fed to much to go alone Convince the fed members, that are not national minded, not me. ;)
Guest bigda Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 i have my ticket aswell and i fly in the L S C and i go to all the fed races and pay the same as you bigda wit give you theright to try and say that the members of the L S C are ripen anyone off as you mention it you pay the same money as me i am on here trying to make the lanarkshire fed not the lsc successful you and 99% are distance fanciers greeting about it all the time you have other options available to yourselve for distance racing creating more distance races for yourselves but you do not want to move from the comfort zone the lanarkshire is substituting distance racing when it doesn't need to it should be able to say to the distance men we run a club here if 300 birds are to go to the distance the price for that bird to go is £10-£25 per bird if you want to go tell me what club be it fishing, golf, that runs at a loss even your own club do they let it run at a loss, or do you think its OK, not to pay your way for your enjoyment i feel we are getting restricted we have been here 40 years the size of the membership 500+ and no modern equipment standing still and no sign of improvement and your still wanting distance at someone else expense ill tell you this mate if you don't get with the national we couldn't go our self now as there is rules in place for the wealth fare or the birds that we cant meet if they are implemented and should that happen the distance flier would just shrug his shoulders and slink away
hotrod Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 BIGDA im not in lanarkshire fed ,and for th life of me i cant understand were you are coming from , you talk about the distance men ripping the fed off,how is this? your fed is going to the longest races with the snfc so is not going to cost the fed any money ,you talk about you racing inland ,say 9/10 old bird races and 6/7 young bird races so there is only 1/2 races over the channel, so how can you come on here and slag off the distance men be it lanarkshire or any fed for that matter then its only 1/2 races at the distance. I think the problem is you could never compete with the distance men in lanarkshire at the distance , so its you that likes to stay in your comfort zone the boys races.
hotrod Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Hi Welcome to the best Federation in the UK If you or any your club mates would like to come to YOUR presentation on 27th Feb in Carrigans of Hamilton give Ian Henderson a ring 01698 375389 tickets £12 Cheers Homer 49 how can you say this is the best fed in uk ,you are only a member of this fed ,its a very big fed maybe the biggest in the uk , but the best? , you would have to retract that statement to have any credibility at all.

There are enough divisions in the sport without you promoting for a fed to have 17 races up to a 130 miles or are you someone who cannot accept democracy, in fact why don't you put your proposal into the fed agm in November. Cheers Gareth BigDa please get your information from a reliable source when it comes to mentioning the LSC business as every point you have made regarding this club that i have a great respect and love for is incorrect. The LSC is a non political club that only has two objectives in it's constitution, 1) Social gatherings of each others company, 2) long distance racing. Thanks

Guest bigda Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 I class 80- 380 as sprint racing, that is profitable racing, any further than that, if i had my way would demand you pay the going rate as you would do in any club i.e a fishing a club, and if members asked can we go to France and fish, yes it will cost you x do you still want to go ;D no begging just the going rate with our own transport making a profit, is that a crime .

Guest WINGS 04 Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 as you mention it you pay the same money as me i am on here trying to make the lanarkshire fed not the lsc successful you and 99% are distance fanciers greeting about it all the time you have other options available to yourselve for distance racing creating more distance races for yourselves but you do not want to move from the comfort zone the lanarkshire is substituting distance racing when it doesn't need to it should be able to say to the distance men we run a club here if 300 birds are to go to the distance the price for that bird to go is £10-£25 per bird if you want to go tell me what club be it fishing, golf, that runs at a loss even your own club do they let it run at a loss, or do you think its OK, not to pay your way for your enjoyment i feel we are getting restricted we have been here 40 years the size of the membership 500+ and no modern equipment standing still and no sign of improvement and your still wanting distance at someone else expense ill tell you this mate if you don't get with the national we couldn't go our self now as there is rules in place for the wealth fare or the birds that we cant meet if they are implemented and should that happen the distance flier would just shrug his shoulders and slink away DO YOU HAVE YOUR TICKET FOR THE FED PRIZ DINNER OR DO WE ALL HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL YOU SPRINT BOYS AND I THINK YOU SPOUT SOME P%SH ON HERE AND CAN YOU TELL ME HOW MEANY BIRDS YOU SEND TO THE FED RACES I WILL SEND 30+ TO MOST RACES UP TO 300 MILES THEN SPLIT THEM UP
Guest bigda Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 tell me how democracy works then when the money generated from the profits from the sprint racing doesn't, reflect on a prize of 3,000 pound for distance races, where is the vote for 3,000 pound yearling opens at 250 mile as the distance man doesn't want to support that race, but are happy to sit it out, and clean the kitty out at the distance when we reach 250 mile the distance fancier, has then the choice to go to a race with the national and he dose just that, drops us like a stone, as its generally about June by the time we get that far out, they will not support as race at 250 mile and it has been like this for an age why cant we have a 3,000 pound race as we are the profitable part of the fed IMO the reason is that we are governed by a committee of distance minded people who to me are like the dog in the manger ;D ;D
