Im not 100%.. hotrod will know better bout this year..

But i dont think the west have ever won the fed more times in a season than the east..

But thats not the point.. its about trying to improve returns and racing.. and trying to give everyone a chance to build a team..

well you wont get better returns than you have from the racepoints you want to get rid of,

youve moved the goalposts again,

i was thinking that as well strange one get rid of the race points you got 100% returns from and move to the area you lost 50% from thats clever  :-/ :-/

How do you know..?? we've never raced down the middle of Scotland..??

As regards this years returns.. fair enough cockenzie was fine.. but then they start going down...

Is this thru the initail training and racing due east..?? thats my point..

all i can say is start your birds at otterburn as you sujested earlier, see what they race and return like,

thats the only way you will know, by not sending them. if it dont turn out so good at least you cant blame cockenzie for loosing your birds

Thats the good thing about pigeons we can all do our own thing, and that can be the difference between 1st  and 2nd

no i dont think thats why they are going down at all others fed members are not loseing allot at otterburn  i dont believe thats the case if the birds can get from cockenzie they must have covered the same area at the home end surly

no i know what he means the east wind will blow then over to the west anyway so your birds would be comming from the middle, i no that the majority of mine would come back from the west in this type of race  ;):o

What i keep tryin to explain is the birds only can come up the middle.. due to the valley we live in... regardless of the wind.. east or west wind only means they'll be on the left or the right of the river leven..

So when we race from the east for instance and its a west wind... the doos fly straight in to the wind.. then have to fly south, still in to a west wind.. then turn the dog leg and start heading north / west.. still in to a west wind..

last year  there was one race  eastborne  16 mile east wind

at the soway end that should have moved them up the west

and i  think the west had no a bad race from there, but a hard one at that  the  same time then ypres was east wind for the second year also,  dont fancy  that  in  a 16mile west
