hotrod Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Im hearing we now want to race from Dunbar and Berwick..??!!?? Becoming a joke.. chasing people out the game... what you talkin about its a proposal from a club thats all doesnt mean that the fed wants this .ps i would rather have this than the way you want to go
Guest frank dooman Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 i would have said south east but wheather its east or south east its the way the birds are likly to come on a race day in the prevailing west wind
Guest JonesyBhoy Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Its not just me that wants a decent programme.. is the whole club.. 26 memebers..
Guest JonesyBhoy Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 i would have said south east but wheather its east or south east its the way the birds are likly to come on a race day in the prevailing west wind So our doos.. fly from England via Dunbar or Berwick..?? EXACTLY.. no where near the true line of flight...
Guest frank dooman Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 so what prog do yous want? and why not just put it to the agm and get your vote race prog. allways suit some and not others but the vote at the agm is where it counts
hotrod Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Its not just me that wants a decent programme.. is the whole club.. 26 memebers.. would you like to refraise that not ALL but a majority is this not the truth?
Guest frank dooman Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 So our doos.. fly from England via Dunbar or Berwick..?? EXACTLY.. no where near the true line of flight... if you believe that birds fly in a direct line from a to b in any conditions you must believe elvis is working in tesco
Whats it called Cumbernauld Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 That will be the Tesco in Cumbernauld yeah seen him loads of times.

Whats it called Cumbernauld Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 As far as the birds are able they will, as sure as elvis works in Tesco, atempt to fly in a Straight Line. Have for sometime now wondered why the train due east.
Guest frank dooman Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Dont worry Stuart, ill be there.. Still not recieved my balance sheet etc.. every other member has.. thats the place to put up your race prog why are you the only 1 not to get it ? phone and ask still time yet
hotrod Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 As far as the birds are able they will, as sure as elvis works in Tesco, atempt to fly in a Straight Line. Have for sometime now wondered why the train due east. (why) because the doo's dont come out the south the way they used to rab ,ask any south lanark fancier and ask where they train ,they train east/north east this is fact and any that try's to go south get murdered and soon revert back east.and yes the birds will try and fly in a straight line then they follow hills/valleys and go with the wind .
Guest JonesyBhoy Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Its not geograficly possible for the doos to fly straight home from the east.. and that is FACT.. Jack McG tried.. he told me the doos will never fly over on that line (and he tried for 50 years).. The shortest flyer in our club becomes the longest when we race for the East, even tho the doos still come in on the same line..

SO IT DOES ALL COME DOWN TO HES GOT A BETTER MEASUREMENT THAN ME OUT OF THAT RACE POINT ,THATS NOT FAIR .LISTEN jonesy i get 12 miles off d.spittal from cockenzie as soon as im down the road a bit it goes down to 6 miles you dont here me compaining do you i just try harder.and i get overfly off you boys but from say leicester i give you overfly and you get first drop
Guest JonesyBhoy Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 I get first drop..?? Ooooft.. ill buy you a map for Christmas.. Overfly.. first drop etc.. couldnt bother me less.. All i want is to race doos and for everyone in the club to race doos.. i just dont think it benefits myself and other club memebers to race from where we do..
Guest frank dooman Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 it was only when i started to race with the glasgow fed that my birds were comming from the south in bo,ness and i tryed every thing to get that without sucess even now they come from the s/s/e to my new loft loc thats only the drag thats holding them from comming right out of fife to me( due east) the wind will determine where the birds come from i do agree that in the last 4/5 years there has been more east in the wind than we used to get but the prevailing wind is still west
