Williedoo Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 There are big problems collecting doos from the heliport now,I have done it in the past on several occasions. Some helicopter company's/pilots will not take pigeon back to Aberdeen. The airport police move cars on thatare sitting outside the heliport as there are no official places to park and helicopters are often late onarrival which does not help. If it was just a straight forward pick up I am sure there would have been volunteers.
clockman Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Willie taxi drivers get away with parking any place, Good points,
Williedoo Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Willie taxi drivers get away with parking any place, Good points,Beleave it or not George we are the first to get told to move on as the police think we are tryingto steal a fare as its only Airport Taxis that have a rank there.
Williedoo Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Just like to add, these pigeons are not kept in the heliport to be collected, theyare carried out onto the street by one of the passengers on the flight and youhave to be there to collect them.
R.A.M.C.63 Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Well done great offer, but have the chopper companys not stop taken pigeons back to main land due to H/S thout they stopped that years ago. but worth a try,
Ian McKay Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Last time I went they sent security out to move me on and also sent for the police twice who turned up pronto and warned me if I returned I would be charged (must have nothing else to doo) When I got home they phoned and said where are you so told them the story and told them to stuff their cargo they tried to say it was mine ???They even had the cheek to say we will send it by taxi and I would have to pay for it I told them where to shove the cargo again think they got the message so be warned you will be treated like a terrorist
