This bird went missing last year and was never

reported. I find it very strange you choose to

Release it so far from home and did not bother

to call the owner. Thus raising a number of

questions

Hi Mr Cowie still waiting on your questions.

Did you manage to get hold of the owner through a phone call, if so, what did he say to you about the bird.

didn't manage to get get him on phone,so did what I thought was the next best thing the Bird was in good condition, just tried to help it on it's way home.I'll think twice the next time report it and they can arrange to pick it up,But I would still like to know what questions and what he is trying to insinuate.

Think you havent been treated right here m8, it really does put you of reporting strays, but as some fanciers have mentioned it does cost a few quids to couriers to return birds, but at the same time there is a great network of guys helping to reunite birds.

Don't be put off reporting pigeons and helping to get them home to the owners, but at the end of the day, if people don't come forward earlier enough, what doo you doo. :animatedpigeons:

Questions;

Why no phone call to owner

Why release bird so far from home without

contacting owner

Who is/was racing bird that does not belong

to them

Mr Baxter does not use pigeon basics so would

Not pm you.

I bred the bird and recognised the number,

that's why I supplied you with his mobile but

he never got a call.

I appreciate you may have thought you were

doing the right thing releasing the bird a fair

bit up the road unfortunately it has gone AWOL

again.

Yours in sport and best of luck for the rest of the

season

Have a look at the timeframe

The guy was given 2 contact numbers within

30 minutes of reporting bird.

Neither of them got a call and bird was released

next morning !!

Question 1 Phone call to the two nos,I have proof of that.

QUESTION 2 was going to Stirling that day I thought I could help by getting the Bird half way home, considering the condition the Bird was in didn't see a problem with this.

QUESTION 3 how would I know who was raceing the Bird? I don't really know what you are trying to insinuate with this question?(do you know who race's every stray that you get in?)I travel a lot with my work all over scotland and the bordes, and pick up Bird for my fellow members when I can and hey some times have to release them some way from home, and I don't suppose they all make it home, but if this what you get for trying to help someone out?I wouldn't have been over that side of the country for another couple of weeks so trying to save the guy some money on getting it uplifted, just hope I don't get anymore in from that area as it will be reported through the scottish and the owner will have to arrange to pick up at my convenience.I'm really sorry that you have this attitude towards someone that was only trying to help.
