It varies, some guys are really good a breaking birds. and only keep them in a day or two. others like to keep them a bit longer.

I moved mine last July and tried my YB which had been flying at the old place out in 3 days half of them

broke in a day or two the rest i have never seen again. the old birds were kept in till a week or so ago when I tried them and only lost 2.

I know of a local fancier who let his out 1 day after moving to the other side of town and broke the majority very quickly.

No easy answers m8.

I find that if you want to break birds a really wet day helps as they don't

Want to fly in heavy rain ,as on a nice day they want to fly and fly.good

Luck whatever you decide to do.

Try and Get them down on eggs m8 and wait till there chipping and then let them out you will find the birds won't go to far from the nest .

let them see out of new loft in a cage on roof or something like that.do that daily for 3 weeks then let them out should be no problem. as long as birds look like their settled in to new loft should be ok.mate done same thing years back no problem.i also broke full race team in 09 .their old loft was 800 yards away that said 2or 3 had to get picked out old loft before penny dropped.hunger brings them back
