when putting loft up make sure it is a foot clear of ground.also make sure it is bone dry with no drafts with air vents frount and back.

Welcome. When you are ready to have birds. Go to a local fancier who flies well into your area! latebreds wont cost you a lot so don't be spending over the odds. Some of the best birds you will get wont cost you a penny. Be keen and show an interest in your local club and you should be set.

Welcome Kevin, my advice would be to keep it as simple as possible and have a system that falls into your routine. As already been said if you go to a good flier within your surrounding area and ask if he would be willing to sell you a few latebreds to get you started and hopefully he'll be generous enough to give you them for free. :animatedpigeons:

My advice is don't overstock just keep the amount of birds you can handle quality not

Quantity, also I would go to two local (good flyers) breed a team from each fancier ,

when you have done that then cross them ,that will form the bases of your own family

The only thing this takes time but I believe that's the way to go .good luck.
