In spite of the fact that PETA are a stupid bunch of hypocrites I reckon they are a good thing for us as a sport. Just as predators help a prey species to develop or they will die out their pressure on us will help us to develop and improve our welfare of the pigeons. In any case, very few pressure groups or charities will stand critical examination. They are the same as the rest with loads of skeletons in the cupboard. I worked for a big charity many years ago as a regional manager and I saw how it worked from the inside. Believe me although they did a lot of good for their clients they were very good to themselves as well.
