tyson Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 we will not call it overfly we will call it advantage
maverick Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 we will not call it overfly we will call it advantage Could you explain what advantage anyone has on the east coast and do you realy think on the west coast no one has an advantage or does the advantage you are going on about change in your favour
kingbilly 1 Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 midlothian went west 2 year ago with youngbirds and losses were no where near what we were loseing down east side but got changed because of the overfly brigade came out in force at agm and over turned by one vote to go back east if we dont try we will never know changing to sunday racing wont work as the weather dictates the race day best option as I see it scottish feds down west route english the east route no clashinglanarkshires lofts are full of young birds raceing to good race points manly down the west and a couple of sunday libs dont think anyone can complane this year
walterboswell59 Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 In my opinion if we dont try it how will we know if it will work or not certainly cant be any worse than what we are experiancing down the east side with the losses year after year so come on lads give it a thought go down for one season next year and analize the returns at end of season as said cant be any worse could be better we wont know unless we try as we cant keep going on with the losses or the game is finishedi think your right tyson lanarkshires worst ever races were from wakefield newark and leicester areas for years a mix of clashing and bop imo same with ripon yb when the north roaders were up here allways heavy losses due to clashing m8
john cumming Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 What about north road feds going on the Saturday and South roaders the Sunday...should help with the clashing....too much traffic on a Saturday imo i agree and anything to aid and reduce the possibility of clashing can only be a positive step john
walterboswell59 Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 lanarkshires lofts are full of young birds raceing to good race points manly down the west and a couple of sunday libs dont think anyone can complane this yeari agree tam a good year for us but wait and see what happens when we get an east or south east wind different ball game m8 old or young the birds dont get a chance to sort themselves out before there way off line and cant turn back imo
tyson Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 personly maverick I couldna care less about overfly/advantage what I want is a route where we can avoid clashing and get as many of our pigeons home and it certainly not happening on the east route as regarding sunday raceing it will never work as you will never get agreement as to who goes on a saturday/sunday best plan is scottish down the west english down the east sorted clashing with english feds avoided
maverick Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 explain this then a lot of losses this year with the youngbirds were from the earlier races were there were no English feds above our birds for them to clash with Tyson I don't disagree with you about something needing done but changing routes I don't think is the answer
JohnQuinn Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 For me Sunday racing is only for when the weather forbids a Saturday race. Saturday is just not the same without a race. Old fashioned? Yes it is but I'm like that at times.Change route?? Then when we get a bad race or 2, people want to change route mid season !! Then when the AGM comes around the vote goes the way of the origonal route that was judged to have been the problem in the first place, Madness!!! Breed less, Breed better and the losses will reduce. Jmo.
