pjc Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 We got caught on camera just above Eyemouth doing 55mph with a trailer on a single carriageway, members please note new limits, you are classed as an articulated vehicle as soon as you hitch up a trailer, boat, caravan etc, 60mph on motorways/dual carriageways and 50mph on single carriageways unless otherwise stated not the national speed limit, transit vans etc vans are now under the same limits :'( :'( :'( also anybody who passed there test since 1998 will require a trailer test before towing the above!
chickadee Posted October 18, 2009 Author Report Posted October 18, 2009 also anybody who passed there test since 1998 will require a trailer test before towing the above! Yes it might affect a few who have trailers for training their birds, I have just learned that this camera at Eyemouth has been upgraded to detect volume of the vehicle passing as well as speed and I am sure it won't be long till the rest will be the same
sapper756 Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 I used to use dougie and mooks trailer regular when i was at my last club, and its perfect in every way. I,ve also towed the trailer to the liberation point on a few occations and again had no problems with it what so ever. The guys have done a great job for all who used it, its a pity there wasnt more support for them but thats everyones choice. it,ll do the job perfect nice pics chic. Have to agree with you there Alec, I also trained with this trailer, and experienced excellent training, will be missed around these parts :'( some people don,t appreciate things, till there GONE!

I am thinking about offering a training service to replace Cems one, my husband has bought me a trailer that holds 12 of the old fife crates, if there is a need for it he will custom make one for more birds
Guest Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 i think cem and his mate still have a smaller trailer they are still going to use to train the birds
