Got a phone call from a guy last night, a non fancier , he found a piece of a wing in his garden actually 3 feathers with my phone number on them , he stays right next door to the high flats in Knightswood. In Glasgow , pretty sure Percy has eaten this bird of mine on the roof and the remains have blown off and ended up in his garden , there was no ring or carcase just these 3 feathers , think it was one of my golden ringers I lost it last Friday from training 30miles having been raced I knew her fate when she didn't return , as the feathers were white and she was a pied , its getting worse every year ive lost 13 birds training so far from between. 10 miles and 40 miles . Only once have I full returns from training this year .

sore to lose another 1 to the bops good of the guy to phone you. i have had more hits on my birds this year than any other. with birds in loft with broken legs and birds with half or all the tail missing and a good few missing. it is sickning that we are helpless to do anything to protect them.

I've got a few in the loft been ripped apart , one in particular wont leave the loft , I've got to catch her take her out the loft and toss her up before she will fly then when u turn your back she's out the team down and in in seconds , this hen is finished IMHO . Will leave her as she is paired to a cock who is coming well .

I have lost a few from trainers this year as well although I have had a few trainers with full returns. Hopefully full returns will prevail. I have tried changing release times and moving release points, but can't think of much else to do.
