Guest bigda Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 Belgian Master 2013 the most famous one-loft race in Belgium Loft accomodation Enthusiasts who would like to visit the loft may only do so on the day of the final race. The magnificent loft accommodation, built by the company Demster, is 89 metres long and divided into 35 sections. The professional approach of this loft builder and the numerous practical instructions by the initiators ensured dry, well-ventilated lofts or in other words, the ideal living environment for young pigeons. One important thing to know is that the youngsters will be kept in darkness from April to the end of May. A fully automatic darkening system was installed which makes it possible to ensure darkness falls precisely! Large landing planks were also placed at each entrance to allow pigeons an easy landing on their return. Guest bigda Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 I entered before bird put up some good results and finished final race also went to china also in 2011 its not cheap to send but the payback can be large the info given out on the site is good and it looks like the birds are kept in top class lofts etc herbot bros i believe are involved in this one loft race I've dealt with the herbots brothers on a number of occasions and I can't speak highly enough of them there top class pigeon men alsoyes and one of them is a vet i like the idea of no visiting the loft and owners are well out the way when the race is on , good stuff they have 34 sections sound a lot but keeping birds healthy you might need more room should you attempt to house say 1,000 they seem to have 30 birds per 34 section that to me is about as many as you could get in a section any more than that and you are playing with a loaded gun and if my bird did not get the chance to attend the first race i would be raging
Guest bigda Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 how much is this race to enter i think its about £213 pound its a bit stiff yet if you could beat them at there own game you would be a millionaire should your bird win it with birds that you could sell from it
