Delboy Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 I think Graham a pigeon can only absorb so much protein and the rest is excreted. Therefore, theres more than enough in normal breeding mixes.
lanarkshire lad Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 I think there are too much superfluous products fed to pigeons when rearing and also when racing. I think we can get a bit brainwashed by clever marketing of various products and tend to forget that its the ability within the pigeon which makes it a good one. I know of a gold award winner that was very badly reared full of fret marks and yet it went on to win a gold award with the snfc and was also responsible for plenty pigeons to score at 500mls.
