He wanted to send him 40 dutch rings to breed him de klak youngsters for a sale he had coming up in Blackpool that year. He declined. Never will cease to surprise me how willingly fooled we so often are. You don't need to read Ad to realise that. Any child's Fairy tale book will give the same advice. Ad Schaerlaeckens is a terrific writer. An absolute favourite in a list of favorites that include Rabbie Burns, Irvine Welch and more recently Rooster J Cogburn, bachelor of this parish. All writers have a certain artistic license. Ad's license is longer than most. He weaves these mysterious advice seeking phone callers into his story to create a sense of reality. And sets himself up as a wise old owl in the process. It's a great technique and works brilliantly. :emoticon-0137-clapping: I suspect if he told the truth of many of his encounters we'd accuse him of invention.
