Wiley Posted February 25, 2013 Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 Al through rearing your friend had them on the light the birds believed it was summer or springs, the point of darkness is to manipulate the birds body clock, with darkness they are lead to believe it is winter. In my opinion the lights should have been turned off after the eggs are laid. But some of the top fanciers are doing this darken at 4pm and at 10.30 or 11.00 at night take the boards down and like them have a natural dawn.
