Roland Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 A swivel plate wieghted by a couple of pound towards the inside with a bath full of water beneath. When a cat lands on it it drops into the water. But buy a £10 battery charger. Run a wire or two around and fix to the red.Remember hodse pipe or such is a good insulator. Then a wire well planted to earth. Tis legal, doesn't maim but they never come back. If on ground about 5 inches high as it will crawl underneath, but lifts it's tail. Simple and very effective and by far with out any doubt the best solution regardless what anyone might say to the contary. Only one cat that climb around mone ... But it was unbelievable how it twisted it's self around the post and kept it's balance. Next day a another length of wire was ajoined to go down the 4 foot wall towards the loft. Bygolly it never came back. I have two lots of nieghbours each side with cats. Also a few behin. Never worry now. The owners never say anything. Some cats do look from afar lol, but don't come around any more lol.

tiger Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 heres forget the trap just gee them a wee bit of lead behind the ear works every time
Guest Owen Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 I have used an electric fencer for years and it works. Your idea is a sort of electric fence and I am sure it will work and better still the cat Owners will not see what you are doing. The result will be that everybody is happy. You - no cats. Cat Owners - no rows. Cats - no stones up their a--- or funny food.
steve56 Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 make one your self buy cutting a 12inch squire hole fitting hinges to bottom to form folding landing platform and then get a pipe bending spring from screwfix or other but must have eyes on the ends, fix to underside of platform and shed at 45 angle, have not made one myself but i think it will work fine.
