ghostrider Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 been handleing them and some are LUMPS,aswell as a few hens.WHATS THE BEST DIET PLAN...WEIGHT WATCHERS BARLEY 1/2 OUNCE..OR???THANX IN ADVANCE
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 Stick um on 100% Barley for a few weeks, bird is on the way picked up about 10.30.
Wiley Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 I'm guessing as there stock birds they are through the moult? If so I would skip a days feeding once a week, cider vinegar in the drinker daily and as Tony says put them on Barley.
just ask me Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 barley is very underrated this time of the year i never like weight on my birds any time of the year
Roland Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 Barley's good.... but not as a sole feed. All things in moderation. It lacks a lot essential properties, hence weight loss. Also then the birds may well over feed if given the chance to get what they are lacking and needing. Good Blood purifier, but over done and can get Toxins. Then in big trouble. Besides why would one want to scrimp and withhold essentials? A little garlic in the water means that they will reduce weight as they hate it. Hence then they will drop down feathers like the clappers. ... Too Much! Half ounce of varied feed in morning and an ounce at night. they will also need such as Fat / High Carbs, like a little maize in the cold weather to off shoot the cold. JMO
Roland Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 Besides they want a little fat on them if and when the cold belts are here to off sett the weather. But not like lead bricks of course..
