Does anyone think that because of the BOP problem people are not selecting out inferior pigeons that if there was not as severe losses the pigeon would be removed? I was thinking this may be a contributing factor to further bad losses from breeding from said pigeons.

Correct mate ,keeping pigeons to fill the nest boxes living in hope that someday they will make the grade.

The bops are naturally selecting our birds anyway. In a good few years there should be hardly any birds being taken by them.

i only keep a certain % each year same goes with the stock loft
