blaz Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 with the yb season getting near the end we have all lost yb,s racing.hear is the number of birds our fed members in midlothian fed sent racing this year.their is a rise and fall in numbers.it does not mean that all the birds not sent the next again week got lost .as a lot of fanciers stop a lot of yb,s.it would be good if any member can put up their fed birdage and distance for yb racing.their is a fair drop in birds sent .a lot of them would have been lost dew to bop attacks (tyson could add the day birds got attacked coming out baskets as can,t mind the race).their will also be birds lost that are not up to the job.our fed races from south to north. 1st race otterburn 28th july 1287 birds aprox 55 to 70 miles 7am lib WSW wind 2nd race otterburn 11th aug 2078 birds aprox 55 to 70 miles 11.15 lib ESE wind 3rd race consett 18th aug 1935 birds aprox 80 to 95 miles 13.15 lib WSW wind 4th race thirsk 25th aug 1282 birds aprox 130 to 145 miles 8.00 lib NW wind 5th race bubwith/selby 1st sep 999 birds 160 to 170 miles 11.00 lib WSW wind
b.massey Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Interesting to see the major drop at the durham area. I started with 32 at first race. Out that 32 I have 18 with some going all 5 races I went too. Have another 14 just been trained with local van
andy Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 I started training 62 youngsters prior to the first race, had to dispose of 2 through wire injuries and lost 4 training. So 56 to the first race. I have 45 left having flown 6 Races plus 1 midweek race (3 sent, 3 Home) Basketted 28 for Newark last night and left 17 in the loft mainly due to moult condition and a couple of hens in egg. Hopefully manage about 12-16 for the YB Nat. All said and done quite happy with the amount left providing they get home today from Newark.
b.massey Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 That's good going andy mate.... They on darkness? I had to stop most last week then them all this week due to moult. So that's my season over. Hopefully good racing today for all the guys
