b.massey Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Well done jimmy. Hope members returns are better now as at clocks I was suprised to hear how poor. I was 12-15 at clocks and had 1 more since so 13-15. Others where not so lucky
seaforth Posted August 27, 2012 Author Report Posted August 27, 2012 Am 15/16 was a good race dropped my breeder buyer. But stil got the white cock from team burgess only sale bird I have left!!
b.massey Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Don't think it was a good race mate. Some people got good returns and others got a hammering so waaaay off a good race. I got lucky with quick returns but jimmy who won club got one and waited 40 mins for 2nd and only had 3-17 at clocks. And his birds have been steady all races he has competed

The birds came back and they were bouncing not like last week very tired. Not check this morning or since half 3 yesterday but my little hen might be back ( she's slept out before)
b.massey Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Yeah that's cos its only 132 miles and 3 and a half hours on wing. If birds were tired from that then in big trouble. But don't make it a good race and to say it was for yourself is okay but was not a good race. I personally had a great one but I still think changes need made at agm for this area races to not happen in future. Too many fed birds missing and as a fed we need to sort it by either going west or by jumping through durham and not libbing in area.

Last week the winning birds into rosewell were tired and that was 85 mls.
b.massey Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Yeah and where were they this week?? Tired from 85 and then no where from 132!
seaforth Posted August 27, 2012 Author Report Posted August 27, 2012 Jimmys was 1 of them!! It's getting bad wen u can't say I think it was a good race and you told ur wrong !!!!! A guess nobody's aloud an Opinion
b.massey Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 No when your thinking of yourself and not a fed! I had a good race but don't make it a good race buddy. Jimmys was not his winner?? Where u get that? Jimmy had a red pied that he usually has to go let in late at night as its late most weeks. Wis winner from last week was not in till about 12.20. Almost 45 mins behind his first one. Yeah your opinion is it was a good race but the fed birdage will tell if it was or not
seaforth Posted August 27, 2012 Author Report Posted August 27, 2012 Last weeks winner wasn't at the race buddy week she was "eggy " otterburn winner was late red pied
b.massey Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 No one is saying your wrong either and its your opinion. I done great on the basis of 7 show ones for 100 miles went and they are home but on the great scale of fed it was a hard one. Wether that was wind or area have no idea.
tyson Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 so if one man has a bad race its a bad race for the fed some members were rattling them in gary cairns had 10 drop together steevy blackhurst had 29/30 so you cannot judge the race on one mans returns some youngbirds would face that wind yeasterday and some woudnt

Not check this morning or since half 3 yesterday but my little hen might be back ( she's slept out before) got to agree with cris for me it was a good race getting 10 drop together and good returns. yes birds did not rattle in like last week .as their was gaps between them .i had a few last week that looked a bit tired .thats down to it being the 1st race the birds had to work a bit to get home. well done jimmy on the win
tyson Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 last week the humidity was high and with the later lib any youngbirds that did not drink in baskets would be comeing home tired due to dehydration this is the biggest problem youngbirds not trained to drink when in baskets and I am just as guilty myself for not spending the time to train them .
b.massey Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 I was in the good race catagory too with haveing 12-15 within the hours and up clocks. But when 3 of them members where up at clocks reporting the likes of 3-17 I am hardly going to jump about and say great race. I do feel this area is a night mare for some reason and yes the north in wind won't have helped. Gary tried to phone u today to come down. Needs to be morning with working so let me know if in 2moro??
