WulDon Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) Following our race from Alnwick on Saturday 18th August (11.15am lib) which can only be described as an absolute disaster when only approxiametly 40% of the entire convoy had made it home by Sunday afternoon, even now i very much doubt if 50% of the overall birdage have reached home! As the week has unfolded it is very obvious where most of our pigeons are... mainly the north east of england and into yorkshire. Pigeons have been reported in Redcar, Sunderland, County Durham, Tyne & Wear, Berwick, etc... literally all over this part of the country... maybe members can through some light onto why our pigeons are scattered all over these parts??? I'm pretty sure every member of our Federation would appreciate the co-operation of fanciers in these areas if they could collect as many of our pigeons as possible... our transporter will be at Consett this week end and it would be great if we can help some of our poor pigeons back home! It is in times like these when some lofts are on the verge of packing up that every little bit of help in needed, so c'mon lads... HELP!!! Edited August 23, 2012 by WulDon
Guest stb- Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) only one thing does this PERCY ive 27 birds missing from loft that were at otterburn on sat and some had 5 races they were flying at home on tuesday morning with percy into them, scattered all over . my first bird at weekend came back with hole on shoulder and wing out and my 2nd 3rd and 4th birds clocked all awol aswell , git a red home tonight that was hawked last fri at home and shes been hit on the opposite side this time , if all these raced birds can fek off from near home you have no chance 100miles away , old birds might work in yb no chance Edited August 24, 2012 by stb-
