nogin Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 NEXT WEEK INGLETON [DUPLICATION] WEEK AFTER CHARNOCK-RICHARD
JohnQuinn Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Thanks for posting Gordon, have had a lot of contact regarding the remaining race program but rule 32/b is clear. "In Young bird races, can be brought back to another race point or return them to the club. The birds WILL return to MISSED race point the following week and races put back a week." losing the final race point of Uttoxeter. This i have to say does not suit my own personal wishes regarding the final race point, it is the race for my Da's Memorial Trophy and it was always his/my wish that the final race would be from 200mls+ but unfortunately Uttoxeter will no longer be raced from this season, but it is the rule and that's that.
VMS Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 This is turning into a fcking comedy act,it should be Charnock Richards next week end off.Too much tinkering with the race program.what if we dont get Ingelton next week will Charnock get cancelled the following week, this happened a few years ago and we didnt get by 100 miles with the young bird program, total shambles of a Fed.

What you have to remember is it was the MEMBERS who made this rule, it is imo quite clear what the remaining program will be. If for any reason we didnae get a race next week then the final race would be from INGLETON!!!! Not a prospect i even want to consider. atb
frank-123 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Maybe the officials of the fed should read the rule book before making descions or listening to folk who don't have a clue Rule 32b states that in the event of bad weather the young bird races, can bring birds back to another racepoint or return them to the club. The birds will return to missed race point the following week and races put back a week. as you can see by the last four words on the rule lanarkshire fed will be breaking there own rules
JohnQuinn Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 The members at the AGM agreed starting dates and finishing dates for the 6 races they Voted to have. It stands to reason that if the program is put back a week we will lose the 6th race point. I READ it several times and the rules are not being broken Frank.
jonl6280 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 if you want a race from 200+ then go to the national. SIMPLE this is the year of a west sect nat winner.

John the members agreed a lot at the race programme AGM meeting sadly it was no where near followed out to the members wishes for one reason or another. In fact it resembled nothing of the meeting I was there at the meeting when the man who brought the motion to the table Vincie Hendry and it was put in place to stop races being missed. The rule book doesn't state when the season will finish. If Lanarkshire don't put a race on for the members who wish there birds to go over 200 miles then it will be a very sad day.
JohnQuinn Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 On the contrary Frank, the vote for the starting date is taken first, the program of 6 races was voted in on consecutive weeks from the starting date. To do anything other than have 6 races from the starting date would be against the vote of the majority at the AGM. The rules are being followed TO THE LETTER and you should not expect anything else from the officials. Its the Rule that is letting the members down NOT the officials. atb John.

John With all due respect Lanarkshire have changed more decisions this year than ever before. I will leave it at that and remember you and the official's are in position to represent all members.
JohnQuinn Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Yes there have been unavoidable changes Frank, not at the behest of the officials i might add, but to me the rule is what needs changed, there is no provision in the rules to extend the program and to do so would be to "invent" something just to suit myself, cos like you i want a Uttoxeter race and have been looking forward to it more than most for personal reasons, but the rule is there as is and needs to be changed or amended which can only happen at the next AGM. I would not Intentionally break/bend/change a rule no matter my own feelings are on the matter. Please believe me Frank, if it was down to me we would go straight to Charnock Richards next week and finish at Uttoxeter, but my/our hands are tied. We wouldn't be starting at 60+ miles either, we were racing from Carlisle, 82mls to me, in 1982 as our first race, 30 years later we are 15 miles shorter, that speaks volumes of the Majority! Cheers John.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 if you want a race from 200+ then go to the national. SIMPLE this is the year of a west sect nat winner. This will only happen if the young birds get a race from around 200 miles before ybn,

The rules are being followed TO THE LETTER and you should not expect anything else from the officials. Its the Rule that is letting the members down NOT the officials. atb John.We voted for race-points John, no vote was taken before the start of the deciding of the young bird program of how many races there was to be, yes we started on a date and we ended up finishing on a date, the members were happy to finish on that date because the season was to culminated at Uttoxeter 213 miles, which would have been a fitting race to finish on. So Rule 32b that states that in the event of bad weather the young bird races, can bring birds back to another racepoint or return them to the club. The birds will return to missed race point the following week and races put back a week. There will be some fanciers rubbing there hands that the officials and race controller are scrubbing Uttoxeter 213 miles+, but there are twice as many fanciers really disappointed because of this judgement.
Delboy Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Lanarkshire is the least flexible fed in Britain and dont say its because its too big to be flexible, lol.
RacingPigeon2 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 I WILL NOT BE AWAY NEXT WEEK AS IF YOU ARE TAKING THE 210+ MILES AWAY I WILL BE LEAVING LANARKSHIRE FED FOR GOOD AND GLUE WILL LOST 80/95 BIRDS NEXT TWO WEEKS. BIG FED IN BRITISH AND THE WORST RUN IN THE WORLD. A 10 YEAR OLD COULD RUN IT A LOT BETTER THEN IT'S GETTING RUN THE. BRING V H BACK.
