Fair Play Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Gangster - Leeds game was played at Hampden - Not a Celtic supporter but I was there. The biggest crowd I have ever been in, the passageways were full not a spare inch to stand well over the 136,000 (official) one of the gates left open at the Celtic end.
Roland Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Was a fella around here, was a great footballer - when he wasn't pee'd and turned up. His name John Fury. Same religeon and place apparently as the great Jimmy. Got into the reserve side, was an awful big head. Thought he was a hard case too at that. Mouthed Jimmy and took a time coming round... happened 2 - 3 times more taking a pasting.... Moral was if he couldn't control a Mouth, nor understand Jimmy's point of view e'd never buckle down and be sharp enough to be a credit regards football Was moved on.... and never did learn, just turned out as Jimmy said, a worhless waste of time... Made it as a first class cretin, a drunken, posser and woman beater. My but what a footballer.... never did no good though. Know quite a few that got great breaks.... but the WHOLE package has to be there to make it.... and to be a legen.... well born and honed but their own affinity!
Guest Vic Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Gerrin there! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Roland Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 Yes.... and well deserved win. Strange how now, especially after Man U's loverly loss there, the Media have been shown they are a great battling side - Must be Fulham knocked Kettering out the FA. Cup eh! strueth! lol ;D ;D. And how now no one goes to Craven Cottage expecting a win. But in reality Liverpool from the highlights shown - were the class act, and got that so - calle well earnt break at the end, like all and any great side does / needs to and have. Next year I fancy it finishing 1. Liverpool 2. Arsenal 3. Aston Villa 4. Chelsea 5. Man U. and then the Everton's / Fulham/ and Boltons again....
