bigjamie Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 spot on tyson i know a few folk that are not racing ybs a good few of them lanarkshire is a laughing stalk racing east then west and then crying for help to go east again the birds are getting messed about its not fare on the wee things they should stick to one rout for racing
JohnQuinn Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 dont see how you can say the meeting was illegal it was called to possibly put back your race programme one or two weeks to give your members a chance to get young birds a bit more training we all know the weather has been a *expletive removed* this year but you have got to remember they are only young birds send a lot of untrained young birds to your first race and see what happens remember if you dont look after your young birds you have no future The race program, including start and finish dates were decided at an AGM. In order to overturn this an EGM was required with 1/3 of the membership signing up for it. To the best of my knowledge there were no signatures collected so anyone wishing to challenge a change made at the Delegates meeting would IMO have had the decision to change overturned on appeal. This is REGARDLESS of what "common sense" would dictate. Rules are Rules and they have to be followed.
tyson Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 your clubs should all have had a meeting so the delegates are mandated from there club on the decisions made by members of club no need for egms as delegates should vote on what there club proposed as the delegates are part of the management committee and the management committee should be able to make decisions in the best interest and welfare of the birds
maverick Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 IT is these silly RULES that hurt the SPORT more and MORE IS IT NOT THE BEST INTREST OF THE BIRDS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR Instead of all the in house squabbles
airdrie2 Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Some amount of effort went into finding out how the member's wanted there delegate to vote. The delegates waste fuel and time to attend a meeting which was illegal and should never been called.Guess the person who knows the rules and was going to object could have contacted the fed earlier just to save time and effort.or maybe whoever called the meeting should look at the rules beforehand all in hinsight you try to help and get knocked all the time thankless task being in an official position
HOMER49 Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Thankfully not a deciding vote HiYes true but what club are you the delegate forCheersHomer 49
