Took 7 doos through to Heriott Watt university, tossed them 2, 2, and 3. At the moment 4 are still missing. The last 3 out the basket and 1 of 2 Ck's libbed 10 mins before them.

If it was only the last 3 i'd no be bothered as i'd take it they were detoured and would turn up but the Ck is a 3yr old and was libbed with another 3yr old so should have been back with it, that makes me think something sinister has happened to it, percy or wires.

Aye they're unavoidable, no matter where ye toss them. Got a doing ma very first toss last year and i wisnae even as far as Carnwath.

I know how you feel John, i took 72 young birds for their 1st toss to Rosyth this morning at 5.30am, approx 5 miles. At 2pm i only had 35 home! Cant prove it but reckon a Falcon attack once again!

Aye they're unavoidable, no matter where ye toss them. Got a doing ma very first toss last year and i wisnae even as far as Carnwath.

I only toss for the last National when widowers are paired up. I find tossing at first light (lib 5am) I get no probs all from Carter Bar 50 miles 4 or 5 times in the lead up to basketting every morning. When I tossed during the day it was a hit or miss if you got a dodgy one. Maybe just lucky but worked last year.

Doubt it first toss with young yins always like that. Probably too short a distance

Something similar happened to me a couple of weeks back John i took 11 doos through to Eyemouth as me and the mrs were going a run down the coast and let them go in 2 x 4 and a 3 5 mls apart came home nearly 4 hours later to see the 1st 1 just landing and it was from the last batch lib'd an hour after the 1st batch still 3 not been seen to this day

And lost the cock i timed at Messac last season in a toss fae Macmerry on thursday but as we all know sh** happens in pigeon racing you just get on with it and worry about the doos in the loft

Took them to same place i always take them and ive never had a problem before. They were coming in ones and twos all day, from just 5 miles!

hi mate i live in newbridge sinced i moved here have not been able to get going at all and my losses have been horrendous have had birds from top guys all around if its me and am not discounting that fact i dont know what am doing wrong same as i have always done have flown since 78 dont keep a lot and dont expect much cant take much more

Its possible they've been picked up by a larger batch and are far from home, to me that would be preferable to a hawk strike. Though it could be just as bad as far as returns go!!

hi i live in wishaw been training beteen newbridge & haymarket 3 times a week wether permitting? from start of season,07.00-07.30 never lost a bird at this taining. I trained with newmains van once from crowford and lost 3 birds/ I think good luck time & change of lib points each day keeps percy away.

The way the birds were acting on arrival at loft told me that a Falcon attack was possible. I liberated at 5.30am thinking they would have a better chance of getting home safely seeing as it was their 1st toss, how wrong was i! Its never ending and sadly it will only get worse!

naw shits happening all the time ALAN WAY BASSAS PERCIE , ive only had 7 tosses this year and 5 oot the 7 i know percie ratles them

avonbride cumbernauld forthbridge peebles peebles lanark and law only 2 home great after that ave just no bothered tossing its no worth the greif , mind you a only have the car oan a wednesday so theres no been a lot of opertuntiy wae the weather either but the doos must get sick of it asweel :emoticon-0156-rain:and the thot of sitting waiting for 2 days fae a 30 mile toss just doseny appeal tae me :emoticon-0156-rain:The game is finnished now its beyond repair
