Wuffles Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 I appoligize if this is in the wrong place or something, but I've never done anything like this before. Last night I found a pigeon near my house which didn't seem able to fly properly. I didn't want a cat to catch it overnight so after having the bright idea of tempting it with some bird seed I use in my rat mix, I managed to catch it. It seems quite used to being handled and I have put it in my rabbit run (one of those like a chicken coop) for now with some food and water. It is perfectly safe at the moment:) I have checked him/her over today and found the following info: a blue plastic ring with Tauris 2000 on it a reddish rubber ring with 8387 on it a plastic covered metal ring with SU11 S 1633 on it On the right hand wing is stamped Hoddom F.C.A ( I think it's a 'C' and a 'A', its a bit smudged) When I googled Hoddom FCA it bought up a pigeon flying club in Scotland ( so I'm guessing that's where it's come from) and this site, so I was wondering if anyone knew whose it might be or how to find and get in touch with the owner? Many thanks in advance if anyone can help me:)
