Just weaned some babies away today and there will be more weaned over the next 3-4 days. How long should they be left with corn all day for? Obviously wanna get them trained to my call ASAP but don't want to rush anything.

i tend to leave the hopper full for a week or more at least , but do "shake the tin" every time i go in ,if only adding a few peas each time ,when all weaned to that section and they are perching you can look to feed accordingly then.just my honest opinion. :animatedpigeons:

for the first few days mine have feed all the time as you might get one or two that are slow to eat although my young birds are eating from the pots in there nest boxes before they are moved to young bird loft

 

 

training them where water can be found is more important than where the grub is
