geordie1234 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 .....is the hardest aspect of our sport to master ie feeding, motivation, health etc etc
Guest Owen Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 I think we are all differant so it is likely that we find differant stumbling blocks. In my case I went for years before I understood what sort of loft worked for the birds. After that I went through quite a long period before I could pick out the best birds to breed with. Mike Armitage from Lion Brewery, London got me off the ground when he explained how to breed from my best cocks by using the Bull System. OK there are many hick ups and set backs still but I am far more experienced these days. Mind you, I still have plenty to learn and improve on and I will keep at it for sure. I attended a Lecture by Henk de Weerd at Trehafod this week. It was really good but I left feeling that there is so much more for me to learn about the day to day management of the birds.

Rooster J. Cogburn Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Motivation-not of the pigeons,of the fancier
just ask me Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 to get the loft right brings healthy pigeons which brings happy pigeons which can be motivated feeding i found once your somewhere in the right ball park the birds will race well ive changed feeding from one brand to another over the years although staying within what i think would suit me ive found no big difference tbh Motivation-not of the pigeons,of the fancier so true :emoticon-0137-clapping:
