JohnQuinn Posted April 16, 2012 Report Posted April 16, 2012 Not had a toss yet and reading this thread makes me think whether i should or not. Plan was to get them up the road tomorrow afternoon to about Tinto hill but i'm really no sure now
Michael J Burden Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 My yearling late breds have had some tosses in the early summer sun a few weeks ago then yesturday I took them 25 miles. All back so the cocks turn today. Still too early unless it gets another hot period. atb, MJB
Guest WINGS 04 Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 I have not had them in the basket and I don't think I will I have 9 yearling cks on w/hood for the first 6 races then will get my older birds out for the SNFC races
Michael J Burden Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Took the 10 cocks with me just under 10 miles. Still waiting after two hours :emoticon-0138-thinking: still too cold but they have to go racing soon
Michael J Burden Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 got all the late breds but two older broken pigeons AWOL. 2 hrs 30 mins.
JohnQuinn Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Well i bit the bullet and went to Lanark racecourse with TheHigg and tossed 12 Cks, 1 latecomer and 1 casualty so not exactly a disaster as i had feared reading the thread. Wondering if anyone around me is losing off the loft though as i got a call from Whitburn telling me a 2yro Hen (stock) had turned up then died before the woman could get something done with it, at the same time i am missing a 2yro Ck who raced well last year but has vanished, to god knows where. The hen was in with my racers and getting flagged with them since Friday and its since then they both disappeared.
