Dog License

Just as a matter of interest....could any of you , outside of N.I., let me know how much you pay for a dog license ?

It would appear we here in N.I. are going to have to pay £50.00 per dog as and from June next year, and all dogs to be chipped at £30.00 a throw ...........current license is £5.00....chipping not compulsary. Me got 3 dogs......all rescued from Council pound !

No license required in Scotland, I'm sure it's the same in Wales and England.

Only if you have a dog on the 'Dangerous Dog' list I think has to be registered.

theres no dog licence in england,only need certain precautions you must do like chip it,insurance,etc if on dangerous dog list and i think muzzled if in public place,,,,few more rules,but,not sure exactly what they are just right now !!!

If you contact somebody like the NCDL etc they usualy chip for abot £15!

£30 for microchipping your dog?? thats daylight robbery.costs me £10 and has been that price for the last three years.

hi there showman i know what ur saying as im from cornwall originally but live here i the northern part o ireland and we get our dog license for free as our dog came from the pound it costs us nothig im sure

I'd say what did happen is you should have paid £5.00 for your license, and maybe, as is the system down here in Craigavon, they chipped the dog for nothing !!
