Are you and your pigeons in a stronger or weaker position than you were this time last season??

Initially would say weaker as my 2 best racing cocks went down at last years Gold cup race which was a disaster for most,But on the other hand got to also look at the positives and say stronger as there master is a year wiser regarding Widowhood and the yearlings are from the same bloodlines,the cocks are already in wonderful condition and only this morning disappeared up the Moffat water valley whilst exercising (must have a death wish )also looking forward to racing the hens on widowhood and not roundabout so looking to improve there,one other thing on a personal point at least i will get a truer measurement regarding miles on the wing with racing west again ,have not set any targets as the doos will do that either way once again looking forward to the highs and lows of 2012 :emoticon-0167-beer:

I hope the SNFC have a strong Gold Cup race this season.Was talking to an Irish friend earlier today and the topic of the single bird challenge and this seasons record entry came up.He thinks this is off the back of the good Gold Cup races they've enjoyed the last two seasons and hes expecting a very good turnout for the race this season.

 

Hopefully we in Scotland can have a good couple of years from Alencon and get a bit of momentum behind our Gold Cup again

What ever I achieve this year I will improve on. First season on my own and only have 5 widow cocks and 6 widow hens. Time will tell. I am very worried at hawk problem and the future tho

Well it might not seem much of an ambition to anybody else but I have about 25 pigeons to race and I will be very happy if I get them back.

Stronger position than last year as we never raced an old bird race due to moving Lofts to house so we had an entire team miss out the season now back and raring to go

I'm hoping to improve all round this season as 2011 i was neither here nor there apart from the 3 SNFC tickets won. The rest of the season the doos and me were kinda Flat and never really got going.

I will be putting my Ypres Sec winner back on the road and the plan is to have a crack at the Gold Cup race with her, if she is fortunate enough to get that far without Percy getting her!!!
