Guest strapper Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 the game between these two now has come under the spot light for a goal that was allowed to stand...illegally! the rules state that the freak goal that gave sunderland all 3 points should have been dissalowed and the game restarted with a drop ball. the FA have so far broken their own rules and with many calling for the FA to act on this. i dont believe as a liverpool fan we deserved muchout of the game.. but rules are rules and im sure the FA would have jumped on anyone if other rules had been broken. the rules states that no act of play can give opposing teams any advantage through incidents like this. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/19102009/58/premier-league-paper-round-beach-ball-ref-faces-axe.html

Guest strapper Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 According to the radio today the referee or his assistants didnt see it so nothing could be done after it happened. they are covering their backs ..because if they were watching the game they should have seen it..ref maybe not but the linesmen yes...or are they saying they dont watch what they are paid and put there to do? how can the fa state this and that about rules if they dont follow the rules they state?

Guest strapper Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 it was a goal paul simple as that ;D ;D. You still failed to score up the other end 8) ;D ;D no ones stating that sunderland didnt deserved to win but.. by rules it was not a goal fact!... which ever way you look at it, if it had been at old trafford the FA would be jumping through hoops to solve it...this favoritism has been proven over the time taken to charge fergie today!...WHY? there is no sour grapes with sunderland winning ,but i believe if the FA are gonna have their rules then stick by them..cant have one rule for one and one for another. if sunderland had won 2-0 3-0 what ever then ok ....but i can see what will happen now if something else comes up in the league....if the FA over throw something then im sure we will see this game brought up into question to put the FA on an unsteady footing.
