never bread birds before so be gentle ..

 

ok the hen and doo have been split and she has dropped two eggs on the penn floor,

 

1. should i make up a nest bowl and place the eggs in or let the hen sit on the penn floor with them

 

2. also should i let the doo join her ? asap or just let the hen do the rest

We have breed them on the floor and in nest bowls and really there has been no difference in them apart from when the young one get a couple of weeks old then thay start running around the floor but if you lift the eggs there is a chance the hen may reject them I would just let them be

yOU NEED BOTH BIRDS TOGETHER

leave them where they are the cock has to be there or the hen will leave

the nest after a couple of days you will find they take turns at sitting

18 days till hatching ring young at 5-7 days old put feed pot at nest so

the young can see the parents eating when they are about 15 days old.

25 days till weaning move yb to yb section dip their heads in the drinker

to let them know where the drinker is watch them for a couple of days if

their eyes are closing they are not drinking dip their heads in again they

will do the rest. good luck geo.

well i ended up incubating them my self one did not pass 48 hours but one is still good and on course day 9, fingers crossed? , i have bird formula and different sizes of baiting syringes for fishing i can use to feed

 

the last turn will be 1 am on 22nd and expected date is around 23-4th maybe 25th

 

 

i wont be counting my chickens as this could end in tears

i think your mad,but all feeding equip must be sterile and it may not eat for a period as it uses the retracted yolk sack.wish i could help you more.

the doo abandoned the eggs coz he never seen the hen lay so i incubated them but eneded up way one and its hatched N been fed

AM SKINT SO ILL MAKE BIRDS RATHER THAN BUY them no doubt they will be cliver as fuk like the rest

update

 

dead squab i balme me for my drinking but failure is not an option im ma mind its the beginging BUT i will only try this if a surregate is avialible in-case if it gose to sh**
