Thank you. Have been out of the sport for twenty years and now finally able to start up again and introduce it to my son. I put my loft base down yesterday and am taking delivery on 29th of feb. Hoping to race at least some of the yb program this season. It looks like I've got alot of catching up to do what with this darkness system thing and ets is all new too! Anyway my son and I are very excited and cant wait to get started!

Good luck to you and your son, feel free to ask any questions on here, we are fortunate to have a lot of good and experienced fanciers as members, who are only too keen to help.

Thanks for the kind messages. I met the chairman of my club a couple of weeks ago and he tells me yb loses are very high these days, is that the same across the country? I can remember my dad only breeding a dozen or so per year. My intention is to go to louella to buy half a dozen or maybe 10 and buy some more here and there to have a team of about 20, am I being naive with these numbers, should I start with more? I am a driver for a living and one thing I have noticed is the amount of hawks about the countryside, they seem to be everywhere, which I would guess would be a significant factor with loses. Anyway my boy has spent this afternoon picking out names for his and I have been up and down the back garden admiring the base work for my loft and imagining that first bird coming bang on line! Good to dream hey?!
