Win £10,000 and bring our countryside back to life

The RSPB Spring raffle is now open – and this time it’s very special. We’ve doubled the usual £5,000 top prize, giving you the chance to win a staggering £10,000! Make sure that you’re in with a chance of winning it by entering today.

Tickets cost just £1 and the raffle is an easy way for you to help us save nature.

Why should I buy a ticket?

Our countryside has changed almost beyond recognition in the last 50 years.

Even if it’s not always obvious to us, it certainly is for our wildlife. Our heathlands, flower meadows, ancient woodlands and wildlife-rich wetlands cover only a fraction of the land they used to. Special experiences that we once took for granted – like walking in wildflower meadows and bluebell woods – may not be around for that much longer.

Farmland bird numbers have fallen by more than half since the 1960s and with wildlife such as lapwings and bumblebees on the decline, fewer people are experiencing a countryside rich in nature.

By playing the Spring Raffle you can help us continue to work with farmers, ensuring that our countryside is richer in wildlife.

Be a winner

As well as being in with a chance of winning our special top prize of £10,000, you’ll be taking an important step in helping us bring the life back to our countryside.

There are more than 50 other prizes on offer and all profits will go towards our important conservation work.

The raffle closes on 3 May 2012 and is drawn on 4 May 2012. For full terms and conditions, just visit our website.

If you've already played, thank you for your support. If not, it's easy to play. Just click the 'Play now' button below.

No need for the RSPB to worry about falling bird population.... After all they repeatedly claim that there is no crisis and falling numbers will sunstatially improve now the farmers are not sqirting fields with poison and being paid large amounts of tax payers money to leave hegdes and ditches etc. alone, or tidied up.

So obviosly jit is ust another ploy to added to the £120.000.000 guarrenteed every year from members and wills and fleecing the OAP who mistakenly think it's benefits their back garden birds.

Thank you for taking part in Big Garden Birdwatch 2012

You've taken the first step in helping us find out how garden birds are faring and identifying the species that most need our help.

Now take the next step and join the team that's saving nature.

Join the team - be part of something big

As you already know, we are doing everything possible to protect garden birds, but that's just one part of the work our team of experts is doing to protect wildlife.

We're in the UK countryside getting muddy, on boats in the Southern Ocean showing fishermen how to avoid killing albatrosses, in rainforests planting trees and at Westminster talking to politicians.

And it's only with the continued support of our members that we are able to help rare and threatened wildlife all over the world.

Don't miss out - become a member today

For as little as £3 a month - that's 11p a day! - you can do even more for the birds in your garden by joining our team and becoming an RSPB member today.

Join as an individual, couple or family, and in return we’ll continue to protect the wildlife and special places that you love.

What's in it for you?

- Your choice of free gift: A Stepping Up For Nature rucksack - perfect for wild days out in the countryside, or a nestbox - to help you attract birds to your garden.

- Birds magazine sent direct to you four times a year, packed with the best wildlife features and stunning nature photography.

- Free entry to over 100 of our fantastic reserves, giving you the chance to get even closer to the UK's wildlife.

Join the team that inspires people. The team that makes things happen. The team that stands up for what you believe in. The team that's protecting the natural world you love and securing its survival for generations to come.

We look forward to welcoming you to the RSPB.

Best wishes,

Sarah Houghton
