i see theres lots of people using wooden floor grills ... wats your thoughts on them??? from wat i see of them they hold alot of poo ect i thought that it was not to do this ?????????????????????

i like the idea of having grills but im not sure on thease wooden ones my mate had same type grills in nest boxes he bought they were wooden but the poop didnt seem to fall through he ended up lobbing um out just wond if the floor ones are same

 

metal ones are good but very exspensive££££££££££££££££££££££

ive never used them but tempted this year in the yb loft,very good lofts i know have them in all their lofts ;)

like i said , i tried them , and didnt like them ,jmho. if i was to advise you ..... = use your pennies for other things .

I use grills in the nest boxes with a cat litter dressing underneath and there cleaned out weekly but I'd never have the grills on the loft floor

original post refer,s to floor grills , i also use the plastic box grills and wouldnt be without them too.

floor grills in yb loft must be a good thing surely.for when the bad things come and they are not picking amongst it

ive been watching some new dvds this week and looking at the duif book i had for xmas and they all av thease grills in them

 

i dnt like the grills in nest boxes as i think its not comfortable for them

it is a good point if i was to put them in do u think a piece of 3x2 all the way around the section would be ok to put it on to leave a bit of pit under neath and be strong enuff to walk over??????????

i also had mine on 3" by 2" for that reason , but personally wasnt happy with them , moving for cleaning etc , it just seemed more trouble than it was worth , so in the end out they came. Mac 1 suggested they may help , and was a good point , but its not a guarantee . :emoticon-0138-thinking:

ha ha ha ha ha breaze blokes gave me a chuckle fair play im not that bothred if i do or dnt av them its just i see all the top flyers with them and thought there must be something in it
