5768pauline Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 This bird is a rusty red colour and appeared in August 2011. It crashed into an upstairs window and then rested for several days on a flat roof next door. I fed it along with other birds with wild bird seed and it has recovered beautifully and looks very healthy. It has not flown away from us and tends to live on the upstairs bathroom window ledge. As there are no tags on its legs and I have not attempted to catch it but after much research am thinking its a homing bird and wonder if anyone would like to have it. After four months I don't think its going to go anywhere. I am an old bird myself and don't think I will be able to catch it. Let me know if anyone is interested.
