Barcelona Into Scotland

I notice from the race program that the BBC has a charity race from Fougeres in early July. That will be a nice distance into central Scotland - around 500-520 miles. Unfortunately it is likely to clash with an SNFC weekend (subject to the race program being set). Maybe the SNFC could joint convoy with them ?

Later in July they have a race from Bordeaux which could be an option for those wanting to try something a bit further. It comes after the SNFC programme ends and will be about 775 miles to central Scotland. I think I'd be more inclined to try that one than to try Barcelona as it would still just about be a race at that distance rather than just an endurance test.

think it would be a great idea for snfc to try this for there longest race would cut costs plus alot more pigeons arriving in uk at the same time plus costs should be better

I think Stevie that the joint convoy with the MNFC from Tours worked well enough this year.

Don't think you can train a bird for that distance, they need to be fit, yes, but they have to be bred to have that mileage in them

agree and i would not think there too many that could do it and be a brave man to sent one :emoticon-0137-clapping:
