demolition man Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 What would it take to get a North Road National out of Thurso with every organization that race North invovled?
Tony C Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 1p a pigeon & a £1,000,000 prize money Cant see it working Bernie as we'll be racing 500 mile pigeons against sprinters being sent by the shorter flyers. What might work is open to those flying 400 miles & over but then it doesn't entitle it to be called a national.

DJWa Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 Quite true i was looking at involving welsh and irish would be worth winning our inland nationals are the samesome flying 300 others 500 in the same inland racethe thing is with the weather winds etc i think all the setions have won in the past
just ask me Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 there was one years back cant remember much about it would be some race though
OLDYELLOW Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 why does the word national seem important we all know that the shortest flyers will always come up trumps now if you created a national and county championship club and quite simply base each county as a section then I think that would be more palatable , so you'd have a national winner , and County winner for each county

BUT I DO TAKE YOUR POINT
walterbmasson Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 DONT THINK THIS INLAND RACE WILL EVER BE WON IN north section that like red rum winning derby mission inpossible
Guest paulrstokes Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 a great Idea, although Ray Knight tried t5o gauge interest a couple of years ago and did not sem to get much support.
DJWa Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 DONT THINK THIS INLAND RACE WILL EVER BE WON IN north section that like red rum winning derby mission inpossible racing out of thurso into england i would of thought that being the shortest flyersthe north section would be an advantage to fly into and win more than its share
walterbmasson Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 racing out of thurso into england i would of thought that being the shortest flyersthe north section would be an advantage to fly into and win more than its share davie the north sec from the inland races in snfc have had some fantastic results in the past which if was flying in a par would have won the race but flying on there tod fer 180 miles when winner is clocked you dont need rocket science ta see that>>> bit davie yer watching these posts and how many times have you witnessed different posts saying change back ta rennes averanches etc i am not bothered where there libed just get them up when conditions are right i put a post on a few days about a race from brest just because its putting a 60 mile a water in front o them and make it a bit toughter fer the gold cup and every fancier on east side will have ta fly a bit further and giving the west also a better chance at winning NATIONAL and you would see a different result JMO LOL >>>>>>>>> butBACK TA THE POST yes davy with a thurso inland race the shortest distance birds have the upper hand if giving away up ta 200 miles IN DISTANCE
