He had it for work Frank, plant fitter, out and about on sites etc. Its a diesel so not too sore on the fuel. Good tax benefits i think too if its through a business.

Have the chance of a 2007 model with very low mileage for a bargain price, but have been looking at the reviews and they go from one extreme to the other.Appreciate the feedback from everyone on basics,so keep them coming.

Never a truer word spoke .!!

Not a single patch on the Navara or Hi-Lux. Be sure you want a 4x4 then buy one of these .I've had them all and you wont go wrong with one of these .

Something not right with that motor Frank if thats all it was getting, they will never be as economical as a car but thats horrendous. No wonder you moved it on. Youd have been bankrupt training the doos  :o

Good motors, the 2.5 td being the pick, looking for one myself. Navara's are problematic!

Frank for a big 4x4 workhorse the mpg (IMO) is very good, around 30. I had a 2.0L Hyundai, would'nt pull sh** and averaged 25 ish. My transporter van only did around 25-30 too and cost a packet to service.

i had one 2002 model.mountain of problems with it including new engine and gearbox at 64000 miles.wouldnt have another.buy a landrover  :)

Chris its a fact that Mitsubishi are the most reliable motors and Land rover the least! My days of Landies (except classics) are well gone. A 2.5td Discovery blown engine at 17 months old and 30,000 miles, cost £5000 for new lump and landrover contributed nowt!!

Frank was  it the 1.9 d (non-turbo)? They are brutal, mine is the 2.0 hdi. They reckon the new 1.6 hdi does 50+ mpg.
